CD4009UB and CD4010B Hex Buffer/Converters can serve as CMOS to TTL or DTL logic-level converters or CMOS high-sink-current drivers. For most applications, CD4049UB and CD4050B are preferred hex buffer replacements, except for multiplexers. When high sink current or voltage conversion isn't needed, CD4069B Hex Inverter is recommended. These types come in 16-lead packages: hermetic dual-in-line ceramic (F3A suffix), dual-in-line plastic (E suffix), small-outline (M, M96, MT, NSR suffixes), and thin shrink small-outline (PW, PWR suffixes).
