The natural cordovan series is a flagship of the chausser men's line.
The C-740, released in 2007, is still a highly popular model from the brand's early days.
The aging of the unfinished cordovan leather gives it a deep, unique character.

The design is a simple 5-hole plain toe derby, without unnecessary decoration.
Large brass metal eyelets add a slightly military nuance to the simple design.

The upper uses domestic natural cordovan leather.

Cordovan is a leather taken from the cordovan layer of a horse's rump, and is a high-quality material also known as "leather diamond" due to its rarity.
Its main appeal is its smooth texture, like porcelain, and its elegant, beautiful luster.
The leather has a fine fiber density and is durable, said to be three times stronger than cowhide while being lightweight.
