Guepard is a specialist in French vintage eyewear from the 1940s and 50s, boasting originality that can be called art pieces and the highest quality in the world.
They co-published the archive book "Frame France," which disassembles each piece of valuable deadstock eyewear down to the smallest screw and photographs it, displaying all parts in actual size.
It is a joint brand by Mr. Yamamura of Kobe's "SPEAKEASY" and Mr. Yanagihara of Sapporo's "Fre'quence," who are among the few experts familiar with that world.
The Avant-garde model, with its distinctive angular lower form, is also popular with women.
It has a striking angular cut at the outer corners of the eyes, reproducing a distinctive design among French frames.
The temples are slim, allowing for a clean impression from the side.
