JOSEPH FOXCROFT COLE Signed Etching Cows Landscape Antique 19th Century
This art piece came out of the home of a local estate, original drypoint etching by well known listed painter and etcher Joseph Foxcroft Cole (American 1837-1892). Hand written signature in pencil on the bottom right hand side, imprinted on the bottom left hand side it reads Copyright 1889 by Gravure Etching Co.. There is a light amount of water stain on the right side of the mat only, also along the bottom edge on the mat, very minor, also a couple of scuffs on the etching itself, also minor. The piece displays well with the large thick original Oak Frame. Please let me know if you have any questions.
