This series helps to take some of the heat out of race relations by showing the funny side of everyday conflict. In this 2nd series, broadcast in September 1972, Eddie's prejudice towards his neighbours has not lessened so that when Bill and Barbie have a housewarming party, he does his best to sabotage it. The rivalry reaches boiling point when Eddie and Bill are both trying to buy the same bedroom suite in the sale. But the neighbours do find common ground when they attend a TUC conference together and are staying in the same hotel as two attractive young ladies.
