MDS1 Middle School Microscope

The Richter Optica MDS1 is our most popular middle school student microscope. This microscope has student-proofed features such as a retractable 40x objective lens and a carrying handle. Objective Lenses: Achromatic, color-coded 4x, 10x, and 40x (retractable) objectives mounted on precision revolving objective turret. 45° inclined head for ease of viewing when seated. Head rotates 360°. Eyepiece: Widefield 10x eyepiece, FN 16mm with pointer. Total Magnification: 40x, 100x, 400x. Specimen Stage: Circular 89mm (3.5") diameter stage includes locked-on, spring-activated stage clips. Stage slides forward, backward and left to right. Frame: Rugged all metal frame with enamel coating for protection. Built-in carrying handle. Focusing: Coarse and fine focusing knobs with rack and pinion focusing. Rack stop protects objectives and specimen slides. Illumination: Use microscope corded or cordless. LED illumination, includes rechargeable batteries and auto-cutoff recharger.
