In a time where collabs can be tasteful, extremely hyped, or all of the above, legendary retailer and brand Undefeated delivered the perfect blend of anticipation and great design work with their version of Nike's Air Max 97 OG. The release couldn't be more timely, as the Air Max 97 celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2017. Released in a black and white option alongside an apparel collection of hoodies, t-shirts, socks, and bags, the latter released exclusively at UNDFTD's retail location and webstore a week ahead of schedule. The design pays tribute to Italy’s love for the model with the wavy side panel stripes appearing in Speed Red and Gorge Green. Premium patent leather coats the mudguard, while the classic reflective 3M gives some semblance of the OG feel. Undefeated branding appears on the stripes, while the boutique’s signature tally logo can be seen on the insole.
