My mother is a homemaker, while my dad is a retired accountant. When I was in high school, I came across a fashion magazine in my fathers library, which inspired me and drew me closer to the arts and fashion. Though I studied English, Spanish and Sociology at the University of Ghana, I pursued my love for fashion by enrolling at Maureen Signature, a fashion school in Accra, on a part-time basis. I use 100% cotton and authentic African prints and organic materials such as wooden buttons, shells and traditional beads for my designs. I design women and mens apparel as well as accessories. I believe in giving back to my community. In this vein, I have employed five paid workers. The wages and allowances of these workers also go a long way to support their dependents. My dream is to see my designs become an international brand. I am looking forward to having an all-round exciting relationship with NOVICA.
