Victorian reproduction Necklace Bracelet Old European Cut

Excellent copy of an Edwardian to Victorian era jewelry set, in bracelet and matching cut necklace. Although the bracelet is stretchy and the necklace surely a copy, it’s the stones that light this show!

Old European style cut gems, or aka Victorian cut stones, have a classical shape that feature a unique, multifaceted top crown with a small table & stepcut bottom pavilion comprising 73 facets! This makes the stones BRILLIANT! In the transition from these old cuts to the more modern ‘round brilliant’ diamond cuts, terms such as ‘Victorian cut’ and ‘Edwardian cut’ describe the old wold gem cut style created during the period.

So yes, it’s costume! But it’s a surprisingly accurate depiction of the style of jewelry of the 1860s to the 1920s.
